About time we gave you lot an update. Drums are done, bass is done, guitars are done.
When you last heard from us we were about to start tracking vocals, and they’re almost finished! Unfortunately some pretty relentless recording is taking its tole on Jon’s voice, so he’s had to take a break for a few days to avoid causing any permanent damage. I think we have about a song and a half left to track.
Apart from that we need to add a few synth layers, some orchestral strings in places and finally fun bits like sub-drops and any chops/cuts/stutters/other such effects.
I also have one clean guitar line left to record, but my USB interface packed up this week. Waiting on a replacement part and then I’ll be back in business.
Our bro George of Burials/G1 Productions (how many times have we plugged him on this blog?!) is hard at work rough-mixing the songs we’ve sent him. We could not be happier with the drum sound or re-amped guitar tones. This is production that’ll blow everything else out the water, and we can’t wait for everyone to experience it.
In other news, I’ve just moved into a new flat in Leeds and started a job in product development at Diago Guitar Gear (check it), Jack’s excited like a pedo in a playground about some girl he’s just met on twitter (…yeah i know right?), Jon’s gone back to uni in the exotic, quaint retreat of Hatfield, Benson’s back at Argos, Callum’s back at Santander and life continues.
Also, we’ve nearly run out of merch. Time to print some more. What do you fancy?
More updates soon. Stick with us.

Haven’t written stuff on this in a while, so I thought I’d say hello to all of my attractive Chronographs fans!
I hope you’re all well, things in the Chrono camp are good, but recording sure did take it out of me! (In a good way of course, like when you have super good sex) I received a drum/bass only mix of the first song today! Apart from sounding super tight it was amazing to hear our music come together! The only thing left to be recorded is vocals now so we’re nearly finished! Mental.
Crazy that we’re going to have to start thinking of a track list and album cover. We’ll get the makeup brushes out again for photoshoots and we may even have to do a couple interviews. I have no idea where this EP will take us, but the fact it could be anywhere is really exciting to me!
As for writing new music my brain needs a break from Tech metal. I’m learning This town needs guns songs to keep my fingers nimble and writing some post rock for my side project Flood The Sun. Tom has a million creative ideas that hopefully he’ll share with us all as well!
I’m back off to uni in a month, the summer has disappeared and sadly the time for us to start writing over the internet only again is dawning. Luckily we have some killer shows lined up, a new set list to show you guys and hopefully I’ll see some of you guys out there to have a little party with. Playing the live shows and talking to fans is really the best part of being in this band.
Lastly I want to make a shout out to Tom Callan. He came all the way from near Liverpool to watch us and Visions play in Worcester. He also brought a packet of fruit pastilles. The nicest guy ever and he brought sweets?! Doesn’t come better than that.
Press coverage should start to increase over the next months as the EP comes out, but I may lose the excuse to write loads of blogs. If you ever want to chat, or tell me I’m an ass hit me up on twitter @floodthesun, or just write on the fb wall. I realy have nothing better to do than stare at the blue and white screen all day. So you’re comments make it that mush better!
Peace,
Jack
